As we embrace the new year, the design landscape continues to evolve, reflecting deeper societal shifts and aesthetic preferences. At Interiors By Popov, we’re attuned to these changes, discerning the subtle yet significant trends that will shape our environments in 2025. From the resurgence of warm, earthy neutrals to the strategic incorporation of technology, we delve into the key design movements that promise to enrich our living spaces with both beauty and functionality.
WARM NEUTRALS
The era of stark whites and grey-on-grey has had its day in the spotlight. Lately we have been gravitating towards warm whites and earthy tones as a base palette. Soft, textured walls (and even ceilings & trim) bring dimension to a lived in space. We’re still seeing this increasingly across the board- in residential, commercial and hospitality spaces. ORGANIC FORMS
Nature’s effortless beauty continues to inspire our designs with its organic shapes and soothing curves. In 2025, these elements are more prominent, bringing balance and visual comfort to interiors. From curved coffee tables to chunky signature armchairs and rounded-off millwork, these forms are essential in our repertoire, offering a refreshingly calm aesthetic with a punch of personality.
DEFINED ZONES
A completely open floor plan can be great if you are highlighting something like a view or trying to maximize an awkward space, but walking into a home and seeing everything all at once is not always the best layout for a functional yet livable home. We are seeing a shift towards more defined and functional zones. Anything from clever multi-use spaces like breakfast nooks that also double as a homework space to smaller, cozy zones and enclosed, spa-like shower rooms.
EVERYDAY WELLNESS
No longer exclusively for the ultra-wealthy, intentional spaces carved out for rest, reflection and rejuvenation (beyond the bedroom) are desired in our homes and are increasingly being requested from our clients. Tailored, usable spaces and distinct rest zones lay the foundation for building self-care habits and rituals between busy moments. Think a home gym- maybe a reworked garage space or an unused side of the house turned into a sauna + cold plunge patio. No matter how big or small, we love to see intentional & personal spaces imagined and brought to our attention during the planning stages of a project.

MINIMIZED TECH
Technology remains integral but unobtrusive, blending seamlessly into our designed environments. We prioritize the aesthetic integration of tech, ensuring it supports lifestyle needs and preserving the tactile qualities that enhance the human experience of home, without dominating the space.
LAYERED TEXTURE
A careful mix of textures can help to bring us out of the digital world and to connect to our homes and environment in a more intimate and grounded way. Finding the right balance of texture is an artform and something that is continuing to elevate our signature functional minimalism style in 2025 and beyond. Patinas on metals, soft roman clays and bespoke textile arts are all ways we love to build more tactility and sensory experiences into our designs.
INDIVIDUALITY ON DISPLAY
At a time where we are weary of mass production, cheaply produced goods and over-consumption, we continue to see a move towards individuality feeling more luxurious and championing collected pieces that tell a story. Lately, we have been loving sourcing one-off large scale art pieces and finding statement lighting that is sculptural in form. These elements make each space distinctly personal and infinitely interesting.

There is satisfaction in working through a process and curated and meaningful take time to craft.
