End of year review 2025

As I reflect on 2025, one word rises above the rest: perseverance.

This year was complex in a way that is difficult to summarize neatly. On paper, it was a year of growth – our largest projects to date, our most beautiful work, our most technically demanding and sophisticated designs. We pushed ourselves creatively and operationally, and the work we delivered reflects that evolution. And yet, almost every step forward seemed to arrive with a challenge attached.

There were moments when it felt as though the universe was determined to pull us in every direction at once. Curveballs came daily, economic uncertainty, political shifts, logistical complications, price irregularities, and pressures that tested our resolve. Giving up would have been easy at times. Digressing would have been tempting. But stopping was never an option.

What carried us through was an unshakable belief in who we are and what we do.

At IBP, we hold ourselves to the highest standardnot because we are unaware of the incredible work being done by others, but because we know, deeply, that what we offer is distinct. There are many design firms we admire and respect, firms producing exceptional work and offering outstanding service. Still, I believe wholeheartedly that IBP has something unique. Something rare. Something rooted in intention, integrity, and clarity of vision.

This year tested that belief and in doing so, strengthened it.

Under pressure, it is easy to become a commodity. To chase trends. To soften edges. To dilute identity in pursuit of ease or approval. We chose not to. We stayed true to IBPits direction, its values, and its reputation. We stuck to our guns, even when it would have been easier not to. That steadfastness is not accidental; it is fundamental to who we are.

Running a firm through a year like this requires more than creativity. It requires stalwartness. It requires holding the course when external forces are loud and relentless. Looking back at everything we navigated, I am incredibly proud – not just of what we accomplished, but of how we accomplished it.

We close out 2025 delivering our most refined, most complex, most beautiful work to date. We emerge stronger, wiser, and more certain of ourselves than ever before. The idea that clients come to IBP seeking usnot simply “a designer, has never felt more true. What we stand for, how we operate, and the type of firm we have built has never been clearer.

And perhaps most importantly, I have never felt more optimistic about the future.

If the universe believes that growth requires challenge, then so be it. We have proven that we can handle it. We are unshakable. And we are just getting started.
