Looking at beautiful things every day is part of our job. If you stroll through our office on any given day, you may see what looks like a ‘mess’ but to us, are the nuts and bolts of a working design office. If you look closely, the beauty is right there; fabrics, finishes, rugs, stone, tile, color, plants, creating design schemes that exude luxury and life. One of our very favorite items that you will see around our office are our books. Flipping through the pages of beautiful books, showing stunning visuals and imagery is a huge source of inspiration for us. Yes, we use online catalogues and galleries but there is still nothing like holding a book in your hand. Using coffee table books is one of our most loved ways to style the homes we work in, and we are always on the lookout for new ones to add to our inventory. The IBP team and I gathered some of our recent favorites for you. Take a look.

"I love that the author writes, "This book features the homes of amazing women I admire, each as unique and inspiring as the next. Every woman's home is a window into their world. By welcoming us into their spaces, we're offered a glimpse into how each woman articulates her own personal style, and, more importantly, how she lives." It's also a book about minimalistic design where nature "sets the stage" which I enjoy. "

"I love flipping through this book and seeing all the magical places in the Mediterranean. It is also a great source when looking for design inspiration or travel ideas! "

"Flipping the script on what is historically considered a man’s world, I was so thrilled to find this book recently showcasing some of my biggest designer inspirations over the years like Ray Eames and Eileen Gray. Coupled with some lesser-known ones that I was not aware of and spanning from the early 20th century, it tells stories of women designers who beat the odds. "

"This coffee table book appeals to me because not only does it have a nice clean look to it, but it is full of great information about gardens. I love the idea of having pretty display books that tie into your interests and this ties into my love for plants and would be great for anyone who enjoys greenery too. "

"This is a book that you want to read again and again for inspiration. Beautiful photography with amazing craftsmanship and careful attention to the smallest details. You will enjoy that each single page contains tasteful design elements. "

"I love how it extends the concept of “slow living” to “slow traveling”. We have been trying very hard to embrace the simplicity and intentionality within our houses, and the book teaches me how to carry this way of living to places that are outside of our familiar surroundings."

"A great conversation piece to keep on your coffee table. Stunning illustrations and witty stories about wine, this book is just brilliant!"
